Our Name is... "X" = Christ    "Tree" = The Cross      "Me" = me.

You really won't find a more passionate love and greater reason for living in the universe!

So, we are about Jesus... but who are "we"?

X-treeme is group of high school students, with some very cool adult staff, in Midland, Michigan living out Jesus Christ's love and truth imperfectly, but passionately!

We are committed to helping teenagers personally know, love and trust Jesus as Savior.  Then learn how to make an eternal impact in their world, their generation and their peers. 

 We long to see each teen who comes to Xtreeme become a S.A.L.T.E.Y. follower of Jesus.  This stands for...

S = Spirit Led ~ knowing the presence of God and following his leading in all areas of life.

A = Available to serve ~ making the call to be Christ's hands and feet to a lost and dying world a priority all throughout their lives

L = Loving God ~ through worship with every ounce of their being

T = Thirst for the Word of God ~ reading, studying, learning, teaching and living God's word every day.

E = Equipped to share ~ Share Christ's love and truth (THE GOSPEL) with everyone

Y = Yielded in prayer ~ seeking God's leading on each and every decision.

MEET OUR AMAZING X-TREEME YOUTH MINISTRY STAFF:

Pastor Jeff:  Yes, his hair points to the sky, the place he'd rather be!  A young guy at heart.  Serving Jesus through youth ministry for over 20 years.  Happily and wonderfully married to his best friend since 8th grade Kassie!  Overjoyed in Christ day after day and thrilled to see God at work in Midland and beyond.

 

Dave Hoag:  What A Friendly Guy!  Dave is a native Midlander who met Jesus as an adult.  Dave's first job was his paper route in the neighborhood behind Great Lakes Ice Cream! He learned how to be friendly and love people as he strolled through his neighborhood handing out the Midland Daily News.  Now-a-days he loves God and LOVES teenagers and delivers the best news of all! He longs to see students really know, serve and trust Jesus!  He has been married to his best friend and at-one-time co-worker at Big Boy, Wendy! Dave rides a cool motorcycle and will go the extra mile with a friend, an enemy and just about everyone in between.

 

Jen Loomis: Jen's almost done it all!  worked at Disney, lived near the Capitol of Michigan, Graduated from MSU (Go Spartans), traveled to Russia, and fell in love with Jesus.  This 20-something loves teens and serves faithfully in connecting with our young ladies to point them toward Jesus.

 Darrell Jacobs:: Think of security guy and teddy bear wrapped up in one. Darrell is a teen magnet and a great friend to teens and adults.  He is passionate about Jesus and adores his wife Brenda and two daughters.  It seems like Darrell has been around forever, but he never seems to get tired of hanging out and sharing God's love with students.  Darrell loves media, music and teaching students and their parents how to walk with Christ in the midst of so many confusing voices in our world.
